SMS & WhatsApp Messaging Terms
Effective date: September 15, 2026
OwnVouch uses text message (SMS) and WhatsApp messages to send one-time passcodes and account security notifications when you choose phone-based sign-in. By providing your phone number and requesting a code, you consent to receive these messages.
- Message types: one-time passcodes (OTP) for sign-in and verification, and account security alerts. These are transactional, not marketing messages.
- Frequency: varies based on your use of the Service — typically one message per sign-in or verification attempt.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan.
- Opt-out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving SMS from us. Because phone-based sign-in depends on receiving these codes, opting out of SMS will disable phone sign-in for your account — you can still sign in using email OTP, Google, or Apple. Reply HELP for help, or contact support@ownvouch.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Messages are delivered through our provider, Twilio; see Privacy Policy for how phone numbers are handled.
These terms are part of our Terms of Service.
